Toroline WASABI Tennis String

Toroline WASABI is a square-profile shaped co-polyester string engineered for modern baseline players who depend on heavy topspin, aggressive kick serves, and the ability to take full, committed swings while trusting the string bed to keep the ball in court. With its sharp four-sided profile, WASABI bites into the ball with exceptional grip at contact — grabbing, deflecting, and snapping back through the strike zone to load the ball with more spin than round co-polys and many competing shaped strings can deliver. It's a purpose-built spin machine for players whose game is built on high net clearance, heavy RPM, and the confident knowledge that their most aggressive shots will still land safely inside the baseline.

WASABI is best known as the main string in Toroline's K-POP and K-PRO hybrid setups designed with pro player Karue Sell, but it performs exceptionally well as a full-bed option for aggressive baseline players who want a pure, maximum-spin co-poly without a hybrid setup. Each package includes two half sets (~6.7 meters each) for one complete restring.

  • Square-Profile Maximum Spin Design - The four sharp edges of WASABI's square cross-section create aggressive, high-friction contact with the ball on every groundstroke, serve, and slice — delivering significantly more spin potential than round co-polys by biting into the ball, deflecting the main strings sharply, and snapping back through contact to impart maximum rotational RPM.
  • Heavy Topspin for Baseline Aggression - WASABI's spin profile allows modern baseliners to take full, high-racquet-head-speed swings from behind the baseline and still trust the ball to arc over the net with high clearance and then dip sharply inside the service line — the heavy, bending topspin pattern that defines modern aggressive baseline tennis.
  • Control-Oriented Response on Full Cuts - Despite its spin-first profile, WASABI maintains a firm, control-oriented feel at contact that gives players directional precision and confidence on full swings — not a springy, unpredictable response, but a stable, connected one that clearly communicates contact and launches the ball where it's aimed.
  • Kick Serve Advantage - The square profile's aggressive string-to-ball bite creates significantly more kick and topspin on serves than round polys, allowing players to hit safely high over the net on second serves with heavy topspin that kicks sharply up and into the returner's body or wide to the alley — a serve that wins free points and creates short, attackable returns.
  • Sharp Angle Generation - WASABI's spin capacity makes it particularly effective for sharp crosscourt angles — the extra topspin lets players aim high and wide with confidence that the ball will bend back inside the sideline at the last moment rather than flying long, opening up aggressive angle-creation patterns that pin opponents behind the baseline.
  • Durable Co-Poly Construction - The monofilament co-poly structure resists notching and holds its tension well compared to softer string types, giving WASABI enough durability to hold up through the heavy topspin hitting and high-frequency swinging that the string's spin-focused profile is designed to support.
